The selection of canned legumes consists of a wide variety of legumes cooked in water with very little salt (equal to 0.05%) and preserved without additives. Chickpeas, lentils, peas, and beans of every color and type: cannellini beans, borlotti beans, black-eyed beans, black beans, adzuki beans, round beans, Spanish white beans, and many more.

Each of them has one or more unique nutritional characteristics, as well as different flavors and tastes.

For example, adzuki beans, which means small beans in Japanese, contain many minerals and trace elements, especially potassium, molybdenum, and zinc, as well as a good content of folic acid and vitamin B group.

All Bioitalia canned legumes are packaged in BPA-free cans, thanks to constant investment in research. Bisphenol A (BPA) is a chemical used in the inner coating of tinplate cans and numerous household items, among other things.

BPA can migrate in small amounts into foods and beverages stored in materials containing it. The toxic effects of this substance are not yet fully known, which is why Bioitalia, following EFSA guidelines, has chosen to eliminate BPA from all its containers.
